I’m excited to share my newest series, Through the Hills in Tuscany. This body of work was inspired by an unforgettable five week road trip through the heart of Italy. We spent days winding through the rolling hills of Tuscany, often in the rain, following narrow winding roads and finding tiny villages so hidden, they didn’t even show up on our maps.ย Once such village (term used loosely) had an all in one bakery, coffee and tobacco shop with a grocery store next door that was only open for a couple of hours a few days a week. No last minute shopping there!
Add in the occasional challenge of navigating the toll booth systems in Italian (a true lesson in patience) and it was quite the adventure. But despite the unpredictable weather and a few wrong turns, I came home with hundreds of images, far more that I could ever process in one lifetime.ย If I worked around the clock, I still wouldn’t scratch the surface of all the visual inspiration I captured.
