Asemic Writing

There’s something about paint that lets me move differently. I don’t start with a plan—I respond. A color, a gesture, a feeling.

Painting is where I let go of precision. Where I don’t have to know what I’m making. It’s layered and physical. Sometimes wild. Sometimes quiet. I work in acrylics, different mark making tools, ink—whatever calls to me in the moment. Each piece builds on what came before, and I stop when it feels done—not when it looks perfect.

This is the part of my practice that feels most alive. It’s about showing up, listening, and not being afraid of the mess in between.
